no limits | TWAS-UNESCO Associateship Scheme: In collaboration with UNESCO and a number of centres of excellence in the South, TWAS has instituted a Joint Associateship Scheme to enable competent researchers from the South to visit these centres regularly. An associate is appointed for three years during which he/she can visit a Centre twice for research collaboration. Over 100 centres have been selected to participate in the Scheme. TWAS provides travel support for the associates and a contribution towards subsistence costs up to US$300.00 per month while living expenses are covered by the host centres. | 1 December |

no limits | TWAS Research Professors in Least Developed Countries: A number of TWAS Members will be offered appointments as TWAS Research Professors for a period of five years, during which he/she will be expected to visit the host institution in a LDC three times for a minimum stay of one month each time. TWAS provides travel support while living expenses are covered by the host centre. NB: Only TWAS Members are eligible for appointment. Requests need to be submitted by research groups/scientific institutions in LDCs. |

TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visits Programme: This programme provides postdoctoral researchers from sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa) with the opportunity of a ‘Cooperation Visit’ to an institute in Germany for a duration of no more than 3 months. |
