PLEASE NOTE: The 2013 call for proposals are open, including CNPq.
IMPORTANT
- Applicants should be aware that they can apply for ONLY ONE of the programmes listed on this page per year. All fellowship programmes offered by TWAS and OWSD are mutually exclusive.
- Acceptance letters for 2013 applications must show the starting date as 2014 since successful candidates can only start their fellowships in the year following the application.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), in accordance with an agreement recently signed with TWAS, will cover transportation costs for up to 10 full-time postgraduate fellows each year studying in fields of interest to WMO, such as climate change, climate services, multi-hazard early warning and disaster risk reduction. Applicants who are going through the WMO Permanent Representatives still need to compete for the award through TWAS and the conditions laid out by the prospective host institutions (i.e. by applying to one of the programmes listed above). Beneficiaries will be expected to develop strong links with the National Meteorological Service and their national Permanent Representative to WMO.
